Just yesterday we shared you a brief report on the Hyundai India sales for June 2020 and today we have the data of all the carmakers present in India. Sure, the car sales saw a drop, for some as much as 80% but then the June 2020 data is much better than we saw in May. Not to forget the automotive industry was completely shut down in the lockdown.

First up we have is Maruti Suzuki which has sold 51,274 units in June 2020. When compared it with last year then they have faced about 50% of loss but then this COVID-19 happened and nobody could be blamed for it. Several launches from Maruti has been delayed like the S Cross petrol and more.

We shared about Hyundai yesterday so we will skip to Tata Motors as of now. They reported overall sales of 11,419 units for June 2020. The same for May 2020 was 3,153 which is way too low. However, due to the ease of lockdown, the car sales have seen an increase for Tata Motors in June 2020.
Next in the list, we have Mahindra & Mahindra which have reported a total loss of 54.5% when compared with June vs June 2019 and 2020 reports respectively. The total number recorded for June 2020 stuck to 8,075 units.

Kia Motors made its debut with the Seltos last year and launched the luxury MPV at the 2020 Auto Expo. For a debutant carmaker, Kia is doing really good with the Seltos and then the Carnival. The result is such that for June 2020, the sales were recorded at 7,000 units which are quite good.
It was no surprise that Renault decided to discontinue the diesel Duster for a sole petrol one but the sales for the Renault as a whole is quite good. Such that it took the top 6 spots in the market. The car sales of Renault for June 2020 was recorded at 4,634 units. Renault currently sells Kwid, Triber and Duster in its portfolio.

Next up is Toyota which managed to sell 3,866 units for June 2020. What's new is that apart from Innova Crysta and Fortuner being the best selling cars, the Glanza too has made quite its place in the premium hatchback segment. Toyota Glanza is just a rebadged version of Maruti Baleno but is quite affordable and also provides additional warranty packages.
Ford reported a loss of nearly 50% for the month of June 2020 when compared with June 2019 sales. For the last month, they reported sales of 2,639 units. Next in line is MG Motor which made its debut with the Hector and will now be bringing Hector Plus soon. For June 2020, they reported selling 2,012 units.
Volkswagen introduced the BS6 versions of Polo and Vento this year and to improve the sales also brought in limited edition versions of the same. They also launched the T-Roc which is a CBU unit and has already been sold. The carmaker reported 1,510 units.
Honda surprised us by having the least number of sales for June 2020 and reported the highest Y-o-Y sales loss. They have reported 86.4% loss in the market and the June reports suggest that they sold only 1,398 units in the market.
Skoda India recorded total sales of 790 units in June 2020. Much can be said as Skoda brought in newer editions of Rapid, Superb, Octavia RS and debutant Karoq. The latter has received a good response from the market even though it is on the costlier side. Nissan has achieved fair sales of 576 units in June 2020.
