Shema E-Vehicles and Solar Private Limited (SES) add two new electric scooters to their line-up. They unveil the new scooter at the EV India Expo 2021.
Shema E-Vehicles and Solar Private Limited (SES) is a five-year-old company that started its journey with the FLY model, a low-speed e-scooter category. This ARAI-approved vehicle was launched in 2016, and since then Shema has rolled out 4 new products - Eagle, Tuff, Zoom, and Bold. At the ongoing EV India Expo 2021, the company also unveiled two new electric scooters SES Hobby, and SES Tuff.
With 7 new electric scooters in their portfolio, SES currently operates in 75 dealerships across the country, covering over 13 states. The company will also expand further into other states like Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Gujrat, and Karnataka in the next 6 months.

Present at the launch was the founder and COO of Shema Electric, Mr. Yogesh Kumar Lath. He did shed some light on the companys future plans with their product launches. By the end of this financial year, we will launch 2-3 new high-speed products in the market, and have 10+ dealers within pan India, he said.
EV market is new in India, and the nation has set huge targets for itself. To achieve the same, it is imperative that all the players actively participate in its holistic growth. We are aggressively manufacturing EV two-wheelers, keeping in mind the users expectations and requirements. We will continue to innovate and advance the products while expanding outreach on the other side. He further added.

As far as the scooters go, SES Tuff is now a high-speed electric scooter category for the B2B segment. The multi-utility speed bike has a top speed of 60 kmph, and it comes with a dual 60V, 20 Ah lithium battery that powers a 250W motor. It takes 4-5 hours to charge the battery and has a mileage of 150 kms on a full charge.
The SES Hobby, on the other hand, has a slightly less range of 100 kms. This is despite the same battery pack of 60 V 30 Ah. Its speed is also limited to just 25 kmph, and it takes 4 hrs to charge the battery from 0-100%.
