The Banglore-based EV start-up claims that the new motor will help in improving the efficiency and thermal management of the scooter. However, it is worth noting that no changes have been made to the output figures of the electric scooter. The new motor is claimed to boast an efficiency of 96 percent. In addition to this, the new motor is also believed to offer better acceleration, thus improving the overall performance.

The power output from this powertrain stands at 8.5 kW while the peak torque output is claimed to be 72 Nm, the same as before. The Simple One electric scooter is said to do a 0-40 kmph sprint under 2.85 secs only. The top speed on the other hand stands at 105 kph. Powering this new electric motor will be the same old 4.8 kWh battery that will offer a maximum range of 200 km on a single charge in Eco mode.
