What's new is that even before its official launch, we have caught a glimpse of how the rear profile of Skoda Karoq looks in real life. The flesh images give us details of the LED taillights with black body cladding on the bottom part of the bumper and others.
It is true that the Karoq is a scaled-down version of the Kodiaq but will borrow identical features from the bigger SUV. Like the taillights are parietal impression from Kodiaq and so is the diamond cut alloy wheel design. The LED taillights too looks a tad bit from the Kodiaq.
Unlike the upcoming Kodiaq which will pack in a bigger 2.0L turbo petrol engine, the Karoq will stick in the 1.5L engine only. This same unit is also placed in the Volkswagen T-Roc and this turbo petrol makes 150 PS of power with 250 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 7-speed DSG gearbox.
The bookings for the upcoming SUV started a month back and at Rs 50,000 you can book this for yourself. Skoda will bring the Karoq in a single trim only which will get top of the class features like a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, powered front seats, large touchscreen with modern connectivity features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
