The Skoda Karoq SUV is slated for Indian launch this year and is currently under-going real world testing on public roads. It is being driven wearing heavy camouflage for a long time now and Skoda India also announced the unveiling of Karoq which will take place on 3rd February. We have got some new images to talk about.
The new images give us a hint of the rear LED taillights' pattern which covers the boot in a wraparound design. The front gets high mounted main LED headlights with DRLs whereas the indicator has been placed just below it. The large signature Skoda grille takes the centre stage and the bumper features black cladding and skid plate. The side profile shows 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. Sneak to the fuel lid and you will get to see the 'Petrol' stickering which shows that Skoda is only testing the petrol engine. The spy shots also show the presence of a shark fin antenna and chunky roof rail which seems capable of loading ability.
As per some previous spy shots, the interior will feature an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with both Android Auto and Apple Car Play. We can also expect a digital virtual cockpit same from the Kodiaq. There is also a centre storage compartment on the middle of the upper dashboard. We also expect dual-zone climate control, powered front seats, multiple airbags and cruise control.

VW and Skoda which are now apparently same entity confirmed only petrol cars in their line up as they are ditching the diesel propulsion. Skoda might also offer CNG variants of their cars to deliver fuel efficiency too!
Although there is no legit information regarding the engine options, we expect Skoda to bring the 1.5 TSI petrol engine with DSG gearbox. More will be confirmed with all other specs on 3rd February.
Skoda Karoq will be brought to India via CBU (Completely Built Unit) route in limited numbers. As it will be a CBU, the pricing will be on the higher side but Skoda might price it aggressively to take on the competition like Jeep Compass, MG Hector, VW T-roc and Hyundai Tucson.
