Skoda India had discontinued the sales of its flagship sedan, the Superb, due to the implementation of BS6 Phase II emissions standards. However, there are indications that the Czech manufacturer is considering a reintroduction of the Superb to the Indian market. Reportedly, the Skoda Superb is poised for a comeback, with some dealers already accepting unofficial bookings for the sedan.

Skoda Superb - Coming Soon
As per reports, the upcoming Skoda Superb is set to receive a host of new features. It is anticipated that it will be introduced in a single, fully-equipped L&K variant. In a departure from previous practices, the brand plans to bring the Superb to the Indian market as a completely built unit (CBU), rather than manufacturing it locally. Skoda has recently unveiled a camouflaged version of the upcoming Superb for the international market, with expectations that the same iteration will also make its way to the Indian market.
When discussing the anticipated changes, we can look forward to revisions in the front and rear aesthetics, a fresh design for the alloy wheels, and various other cosmetic enhancements. Additionally, reports indicate that the upcoming Superb will incorporate ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) technology, marking a significant milestone as the first Skoda vehicle in India to offer this advanced tech. Expected improvements encompass a new infotainment system, Skoda's active chassis control, and a suite of safety features including nine airbags, among other innovations

Upcoming Skoda Superb Engine Details
In terms of the engine, the Superb will feature a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine that generates 190 bhp of power and will be paired with a 7-speed DSG gearbox. There won't be any choices available for a diesel engine or manual transmission.
