Skoda India has now initiated it's India 2.0 project and the first new car from the project is the Vision IN SUV which is a mid-size SUV and will compete with SUVs like the upcoming 2020 Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and MG Hector. Sketches of the Skoda Vision IN Concept are now out and the company has teased the front and rear profile designs through which we can notice some key design elements.
The front profile of the Vision IN is much upright with a wide bonnet and large Skoda grille with solid ribs inside. The slimmer split headlights have been placed just below the bonnet line. Down below on the bumper are the large air intakes and an aluminium front splitter. The overall front design looks beefy and bold with the pronounced lines on the wide bonnet. We can also see body cladding all around and chunky roof rails which are deemed to be functional.

Coming to the rear, the large 3D styled slim LED tail lamps look imposing and an additional LED light bar takes place beneath the tail lamps connecting the reflectors placed on the rear bumper. The most noticing design element is the illuminated Skoda logo at the centre of the rear boot to compliment the aesthetics of the VisionIN and an aluminium diffuser has also been neatly added to the rear bumper. The overall design language is going to be striking yet understated as other Skoda cars.
The interior will receive a lot of tech inside like a new virtual cockpit, free-standing large touch screen with Android Auto and Apple Car Play, Ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, automatic AC and rear AC vents. There is no legit confirmation on the engines but VisionIN might not get diesel engine options. Skoda could offer a 1.0-litre turbocharged TSI motor and a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with both manual and DSG transmission.
The Vision IN SUV and other VW Skoda cars will be manufactured on a new MQB A0 IN platform which has been specially engineered for the Indian market. The VisionIN measures 4.26 metres long in length and the production will start in 2020-21. Skoda India will be showcasing the VisionIN with other new cars and facelifts at the 2020 Auto Expo between 5-12 February where 5th and 6th February is exclusive media days.
