Showcased for the first time in the 2020 Auto Expo, the Skoda Vision IN will take on its rivals such as the Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, and the Nissan Kicks. As per a recent report by IndianAutosBlog, Skoda Vision IN Patent images have been leaked and we now have the most clear look of the SUV.
As per Skoda's recent plans, this SUV will be based on MQB AO IN platform, which is a highly localized platform made to save production costs and keep the selling price of the SUV in check. As seen in the concept, the car continues to have an aggressive and sharp front end. The sleek headlamps and the large grille up front give it a more menacing appeal and the high ground clearance along with the black cladding all around complements the overall robust look.
While the concept car at the AutoExpo featured 19-inch alloy wheels, it is expected that the production-spec variant may get 17-inch alloy wheels as standard. The powertrain options on this vehicle may include a 1.0-L TSI and 1.5-L TSI EVO Turbocharged petrol engines. The buyers will have an option to choose a 6-Speed MT or a 7-Speed DSG gearbox. It will be interesting to see the power output of these engines. There will be no diesel engine or AWD system on offer with this car.
