Tata Gravitas, the upcoming SUV from the Indian carmaker has been spied again with new details. This time around, as per the pics from Team-BHP, the Tata Gravitas has been spied with a 6-seater layout. What's new is the availability of an electronic parking brake which is often seen on premium cars.
Do note, this is the first time a 6-seat configuration of the Tata Gravitas has been spied. It gets captain seats in the middle row which provides the same amount of comfort as the front row. Also, the 6-seater Gravitas will sit at a higher price than the 7-seater version.
Also, what can be seen is the availability of disc brakes on all four wheels which improves the braking experience of the SUV. Please note that the 5 seater Harrier SUV does not receive this feature.

In terms of design language, the Gravitas follows the same IMPACT 2.0 Design Philosophy. The front of the SUV looks similar like the Harrier with split headlight design. Tata Gravitas will have a longer body, roof rails, roof spoiler, an upright tailgate and 18-inch alloy wheels. The taillights will see a different design too.
The dimensions of the 6-seater Gravitas will be the same as that of 7-seater one with length and height sticking to 4,661 mm and 1,786 mm respectively. The width of Harrier and Gravitas sticks the same as 1,894 mm. As far as the interiors are concerned then both the versions are expected to receive the same touch as each other.
Under the hood, Tata Gravitas will be powered by the same FCA sourced turbocharged diesel engine found in the Harrier. What's new is the up-gradation of power figures as the Gravitas will churn out 170 bhp on tap. The maximum torque sticks to 350 Nm. Transmission wise, the SUV will receive a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed automatic unit sourced from Hyundai.

Once launched, Tata Gravitas will rival with the likes of upcoming MG Hector 6-seater and Mahindra XUV500. The SUV will also carry a premium price over the Harrier. We expect the prices of Tata Gravitas to start from Rs 14.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
