A long wait and some teasers later, we finally have the Tata Nexon Dark Edition models in the market. The special variants with an all-black colour scheme are being sold at a starting price of Rs 10.40 lakh (ex-showroom). Other than releasing the all-black versions of the Nexon and the Nexon EV (Rs 15.99 lakh, ex-showroom), Tata Motors has also rolled out similar model of the Altroz and the Harrier. Bookings of the new models have commenced officially across all Tata Motors dealerships.
Similar to the Tata Harrier, the Tata Nexon Dark Edition variants come with draped in a shade of Atlas Black and feature some blacked-out/dark-grey trim. The front-end carries a dark grey grille while all the chrome has been replaced with a dark colour shade. Even the chrome appliqu頯n the window-line and the badges on the bottled have been replaced with a similar trim. The bright blue highlights of the regular EV variants, however, have been carried over to the Dark Edition in order to help it look different from the ICE versions.

Inside, the Tata Nexon Dark Edition gets an all-black colour theme to compliment the exterior paint scheme. The beige colour of the regular model has been done away with and the new models instead carry black and dark grey shades. Even the trim around the zircon vents and on other parts of the cabin has been been replaced with a dark grey version. The EV version also gets blue-colour highlights in line with those on the interior. However, much of the colour palette on both the models comprises shades of black and dark grey.

Nothing has really changed when it comes to the specifications. The Tata Nexon Dark Edition borrows the 118bhp 1.2-litre petrol and 109bhp 1.5-litre diesel engines of the ICE version, while the EV variant continues with the 30.2 kWh battery pack and the 127bhp electric motor. Transmission choices for the ICE variants include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed MT unit.
