Upcoming Tata Tiago EV
The Tiago EV will be the only electric hatchback available in India at launch and will join the Tigor EV and Nexon EV in the brand's lineup of personal electric vehicles. When it comes to appearance, the next Tiago EV will resemble its ICE sibling and possibly feature a new colour. Also anticipated to be identical to the ICE variant's interior features.
It is predicted that the drivetrain will use the same 26kWh high energy density Lithium-ion battery pack that powers the Tigor EV's electric drivetrain, which has a maximum torque of 170 Nm and a 74 bhp available output. While the official range of this battery pack for the Tigor EV is 306 km, the Tiago EV may receive the same battery pack with a range of 300 km on a single charge. When utilizing a 25kW DC charger, the Tigor EV needs 65 minutes to charge from 0% to 80%, and 8 hours 45 minutes when using a 15A outlet.

It is important to note that the Tigor EV has a 4-star NCAP safety rating, and we can anticipate the upcoming Tiago EV to have a similar rating. The brand will be able to enter the budget EV market with the release of the Tiago EV. With the Nexon and Tigor EV, the brand already holds a considerable portion of the electric vehicle industry. The Tata Tiago EV is expected to be the most affordable electric vehicle in India with a price starting at Rs 10 lakh, ex-showroom.
