Tata Tigor EV Facelift Spied Undisguised - May Get Launched Soon!

Tata Tigor was the first EV from Tata Motors but they didn't sell it to private buyers. Tata sold most Tigor EVs to EESL and other businesses like cab operators. But when we compare it with the new Nexon EV, it just can't match up with the standards. Just to change that, Tata Motors is prepping for the new Tigor EV facelift and it is based on the new facelift of the regular Tigor. We can make out various key details from the spy images.

The car you see here looks like the conventional Tata Tigor with similar front facia and literally everything. Only after a close inspection, you will notice that there is no grille on the front and rather has EV badging on a flat grille. The lower part of the bumper gets foglamp and DRL housing on either of the sides. The side profile of the Tata Tigor EV facelift may look old thanks to the alloy wheels which were used in the pre-facelifted model of the Tigor. However, you will see some EV stickering to promote the EV revolution.

The rear profile is also similar to the regular Tigor but you get Tigor EV badging and of course, no exhaust. This seems to be the top variant of the upcoming Tata Tigor EV facelift as it has alloy wheels, projector headlights, ORVM mounted turn indicators and shark fin antenna.

Talking about the interiors, which are entirely not visible, we have a 2-din infotainment system and automatic climate control. Other things include the automatic gear lever, flat-bottom steering wheel and two-pot instrument cluster. The fabric of the seats also has Tata's typical EV pattern on them.

Talking about the main powertrain, we expect big improvement with this facelift in terms of performance, range and charging time. The new Tigor EV will be benefited by Tata's meticulously developed Ziptron technology. We saw it for the first time in the Nexon EV and now it will pave its way to the Altroz EV and Tigor EV. Right now, we don't have any legit numbers for the power, torque, range and charging time but Tata may reveal them soon. As the spotted car seems to be in production guise, we can expect the launch of the Tigor EV this year.
