Hatchback
Tata Altroz
The only hatchback listed is the Altroz from Tata Motors which competes with the likes of Maruti Baleno, Toyota Glanza, Honda Jazz and Hyundai Elite i20. Been launched in January this year, it hosts a 1.2L petrol and a 1.5L turbo-diesel engine. It is known for its good looks and 5-star Global NCAP rating but sadly the car is offered with zero discount scheme.

Compact SUV
Hyundai Venue
Hyundai started its innings late into the sub-4-metre SUV department but surely entered it with a bang with the Venue. Over the past one year, we have seen its price hike, newer diesel engine, BS6 upgrade and what remains to be new is the iMT technology. It comes with features loaded up to the brim but Hyundai isn't offering any discount on the Venue.
Sedans
Facelifted Hyundai Verna
Just recently Hyundai introduced a mid-life cycle variant of the Verna and it costs a whopping s 9.30 lakh for the base trim. It now offers new engine upgrades, styling and comes with new features in handy. We have also driven the 1.5L petrol automatic which drives like a breeze with its rubber band effect. However, Hyundai keeps taming the Verna in such a way that it is offered with no discount at all.
Mid-size SUV
Kia Seltos
It is no surprise to me that Kia isn't offering a single piece of discount with the Seltos. The SUV is priced in such a way that it provides the basic set of features, comes with an aggressive design and costs less than Rs 10 lakh, ex-showroom in some cities. It comes with three engine options, out of which the 1.4L turbo petrol is the fastest.
2020 Hyundai Creta
Both the new Creta and Seltos share the same platform and even the same heart (engines). Hyundai launched the 2020 Creta just before lockdown at Rs 9.99 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. However, the sales started to pop up soon after the lockdown was removed and Hyundai started the deliveries of the SUV. Like the Venue, Hyundai isn't offering any discount on its second SUV too.
Nissan Kicks Turbo
Nissan decided to discontinue the oil burner this year and introduced a turbo petrol engine. The latter comes with a 1.3L capacity and produces as much as 156 PS of power. What's interesting is that it is cheaper than the turbo version of the Seltos and Creta but shares a mutual interest of zero discount on the go. The BS6 Kicks also has a 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol for someone who doesn't want more power.
MG Hector
The Hector just completed its one year anniversary in the Indian markets and none of its variants receives any discount for July 2020. What's interesting is that a 6-seater version of the Hector namely Hector Plus is launching this week and MG isn't offering any piece of discount to make space for the upcoming SUV.
Volkswagen TRoc
This CBU SUV comes with a single 1.5L turbo petrol engine and is offered with a 7-speed DSG gearbox. This SUV rivals with Skoda Karoq, Jeep Compass and Hyundai Tucson. Volkswagen is not offering any discount on the particular SUV as of now.
Full-size 7-seater SUV
Toyota Fortuner
This SUV has been dominating the Indian market for a decade now. Known for its reliability of engines, value for money aftermarket sales and the good off-roader, Toyota is not offering a single penny of discount for the Fortuner in July 2020. The SUV comes with BS6 petrol and diesel engines.

MPV
Maruti Ertiga
The most humble MPV which now comes in only 1.5L petrol engine gets zero discount offer for July 2020. It's USP is its VFM package along with being the 7-seater MPV in under s 10 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. Maruti Ertiga is popular in both private and commercial segment.
Kia Carnival
The luxury alternative to the Toyota Innova Crysta, the Carnival packs in a 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel engine which offers 200 PS of power. It comes mated to an 8-speed automatic unit and is available in 7,8 and 9 seating configuration. The Limousine variant is the top of the line variant which offers all the bells and whistles.
Toyota Vellfire
The alternative to the pricier Mercedes V-Class, Toyota just hikes the prices of the Vellfire and it now costs Rs 4 lakh more than before. Like the Fortuner, Toyota is in no mood for any discount on the luxury MPV. It comes with a petrol engine only.
EVs
Hyundai Kona
The oldest running electric SUV in the country was launched a year back and is priced at Rs 23.85 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. It comes with a battery pack of 39.5 kWh and offers a driving range of 452 kilometres. Among the Creta and Venue, the Kona becomes the third SUV but in electric form to offer no discount at all.
MG ZS EV
To rival to Hyundai's Kona, MG too introduced the ZS EV in the early months of 2020. The car features a simpler design with a driving range of 340 km. It offers 140 bhp with 353 Nm of peak torque and is priced at Rs 20.88 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. It comes in two trims - Excite and Exclusive.
Tata Nexon EV
Tata introduced the Nexon EV at Rs 13.99 lakh and becomes one of the VFM packages for someone who is looking for an electric SUV but on a budget. It offers a good driving range and loads of features inside. It rivals with Hyundai Kona EV and MG ZS EV.
