Maruti Alto
This entry-level hatchback from Maruti has retained its position for several months now as the number one selling car. One of the main factors is because of its reliable engine and how easy it is to maintain. Also, it is popular among ca aggregators. Maruti sold a total of 7,928 units of Alto in June 2020.

Hyundai Creta
The mid-size SUV was launched just days before lockdown but still grabbed a second position in the list. The new Creta features a new design, features and powertrain. The 1.5L diesel unit is the popular one and makes 115 PS of power with 250 Nm of peak torque. It is available with both 6-speed manual and an optional 6-speed auto gearbox. Hyundai sold 7,202 units of the Creta in June 2020.
Kia Seltos
Often called as the Creta's cousin, Kia Seltos made its debut in 2019 and became an instant hit beating the Creta for one time. Well, Creta has taken over the spot from Seltos and the latter has slipped into the third position. The Seltos is known for its bold looks and badass design. Kia has managed to sell a total of 7,114 units of Seltos for June 2020.
Maruti Wagon R
The car is widely popular among cab aggregators and because pf its one USP - providing space in a budget. The hatchback comes with two engine options - 1.0L petrol and 1 2.L petrol. It also provides a 5-speed manual gearbox along with an optional AMT unit. It offers dual airbags, touchscreen unit, ABS with EBD as some of the features. The carmaker managed to sell 6,972 units of the hatchback.
Maruti Dzire
Maruti just launched the updated Dzire in March this year with reworked styling and a strong petrol engine. The new DualJet petrol now delivers more fuel economy than before and this might be the sole reason why the petrol sedan got popular. Also, the Maruti tag serves well for most of its cars. The prices for the same starts at Rs 5.89 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. Maruti has managed to sell 5,834 units of the Dzire till now.

Maruti Brezza
In its diesel disguise, Maruti Brezza was already the top seller. And what we can see it from here that even with a new 1.5L petrol, the Brezza proved out to be no different. The 1.5L petrol makes 103 bhp with 138 Nm of peak torque and is available with a 5-speed manual and a 4-sped torque converter unit. The company managed to sell 4,542 units of the Brezza.
Maruti Suzuki Baleno
Even with just sole petrol engine, Maruti is quite popular among buyers. Maruti Brezza and Baleno just proves the same. Maruti Baleno is a premium hatchback which competes with Hyundai Elite i20, Toyota Glanza, Tata Altroz and Honda Jazz. Maruti has managed to sell a total of 4,300 units of the Baleno.
Maruti Celerio
The Celerio was the first Maruti car to be brought in with an optional AMT gearbox and the hatch is going strong ever since. It also comes with an H2 variant which is better suited for fleet operators and for those wanting a buffed up version of the same, Celerio X is the answer. Maruti has completed a total sales of 4,145 units of the Celerio till now.
Hyundai Venue
Hyundai was late to the sub-4-metre compact SUV segment but ever since they have launched Venue, it has become a people's car. The compact SUV is offered in multiple engine options - two petrol and one diesel. Out of which, the turbo petrol has been received a good response from the people. The latter makes a whopping 120 PS with 172 Nm of peak torque. That's a lot. The Venue has found 4,129 happy customers in June 2020.
Tata Tiago
Like you, it was a surprise for us too that Tiago entered the top 10 list for June 2020. Tata managed to sell 4,069 units of the Tiago and that's a lot. This car rivals with the likes of Maruti Swift, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios and Ford Figo. It is offered with a sole 1.2L naturally aspirated engine and has scored 4-star Global NCAP rating.
