Kia Motors recently marked its foray into the sub-compact SUV segment of India with the new Kia Sonet. The Sonet made its World Premiere in India on the 7th of August 2020 and since then it has been creating a lot of buzzes. Almost every day we get to see some or the other leaks about the new Sonet. Very recently, we shared with you the real-life images of the Orange Colour of the GT Line of Kia Sonet. Now, the Red Colour variant of the Kia Sonet GT Line has been spied for the first time and oh boy, it looks stunning!
Just like the Seltos, the Kia Sonet will be also sold in Tech Line (HT) and sporty GT Line trims. The one snapped here is the GT Line model of the Kia Sonet finished in the Intense Red colour scheme. It seems like the compact-SUV has been snapped somewhere near Kia's Anantapur manufacturing plant in Andhra Pradesh. The Red Colour model of the GT Line of the new Kia Sonet looks really stunning on the Indian roads.
Talking about the colour schemes, so the new Kia Sonet will be offered in a total of eleven colour variants. Out of these eleven, eight are mono-tone shades while the other three are dual-tone options. The mono-tone colours are Intense Red, Beige Gold, Aurora Black Pearl, Gravity Grey, Clear White, Steel Silver, Intelligency Blue and Glacier White Pearl. The dual-tone shades on offer are Intense Red with Aurora Black Pearl, Beige Gold with Aurora Black Pearl and Glacier White Pearl with Aurora Black Pearl.

The Kia Sonet has a very striking appeal. At the front, it gets Kia's signature tiger-nose grille flanked by heartbeat LED DRLs and LED headlamps. The bumpers too are very sporty and the GT Line even gets red inserts. Also, to enhance the rugged appeal, it gets skid plates at the front and rear and all-around body-cladding. The Sonet runs on 16-inch crystal-cut alloy wheels and gets roof-rails too. At the rear, it gets LED taillamps with a connected appeal and a shark-fin antenna too.
The Sonet will get a plethora of features and it will get several engines and gearbox combinations too. There will be a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. It will also get a 1.5-litre oil-burner mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and a torque-converter automatic transmission. Then, we will also have a 1.0-litre turbo petrol mated to a 6-speed iMT and a 7-speed DCT (dual-clutch transmission).

The bookings for the new Kia Sonet are already open at the Kia dealerships. The official bookings will also commence soon. It is expected to be launched next month in the Indian market. We expect Kia to price the Sonet in the range of Rs. 7 lakhs - Rs. 13 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi.
