Hyundai recently launched the all-new third-generation i20 in the Indian market. The new i20 looks very striking, gets multiple powertrain options and is loaded with features up to the gills. However, the price of the new i20 starts at Rs. 6.79 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi for the base Magna variant and it is not the most affordable car in its segment. So, Hyundai will soon launch the new 'Era' base variant of the i20 to lure the buyers. The upcoming base-spec Era variant of the i20 will only get a BS6-compliant 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine. This motor will churn out 83 PS of power and 115 Nm of torque and will come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox only. The new i20 Era is expected to be priced at Rs. 5.99 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi.
Tata Altroz XM+ Diesel
Expected Starting Price: Rs. 7.80 lakhs
Tata Motors recently launched a new mid-spec variant for the Altroz called the Altroz XM+. The Altroz XM+ variant was initially launched only with the petrol engine and the diesel version will be launched this month. It will get the same BS6-compliant 1.5-litre, four-cylinder Revotorq diesel engine. This oil-burner churns out 90 PS of maximum power and 200 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox only. This new XM+ variant of the Altroz gets a lot of goodies including a 7.0-inch floating-type touchscreen infotainment system by Harman with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The Altroz XM+ Petrol is priced at Rs. 6.60 lakhs and the upcoming Altroz XM+ Diesel is expected to be priced at Rs. 7.80 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi.
Ford Figo Petrol Automatic
Expected Starting Price: Rs. 7.99 lakhs
Ford India will soon launch the new Figo Petrol Automatic in the country. The Figo AT was about to be launched in August this year but the company delayed its launch and it is now expected to be launched by the end of this month or by early next year. The new Figo Automatic will be powered by a BS6-compliant 1.2-litre petrol engine. This motor churns out 96 PS of power at 6500 RPM and 119 Nm of torque at 4250 RPM. The engine will be mated to a six-speed torque converter automatic transmission. It also gets a five-speed manual gearbox. The new Ford Figo Petrol Automatic BS6 is expected to be priced from Rs. 7.99 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi.
Maruti Suzuki Baleno RS

Next in the list, we have the Baleno RS (speculated). Maruti Suzuki recently teased the new Baleno on its NEXA social media handles that reads 'The Bold is ready to Dazzle. A Big Surprise is Coming Soon!' This hints that it might be either a special edition model or the performance-oriented Baleno RS. The Baleno RS in its BS4-compliant avatar was powered by a powerful 1.0-litre BoosterJet petrol motor that used to churn out 101 PS of maximum power and 150 Nm of peak torque. Force Motors showcased the new BS6-compliant Gurkha at the 2020 Auto Expo. Now, the company is planning to soon launch this off-roader in the Indian market. The all-new 2020 Force Gurkha will be powered by a BS6-compliant 2.6-litre common-rail turbocharged diesel engine. This oil-burner will churn out around 90 PS of power and more than 200 Nm of torque. It will come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and will also get an off-road capable 4x4 drivetrain system with a low-ratio transfer case. Toyota Innova Crysta CNG

Audi S5 Sportback

Finally, the last car in our list is the upcoming hot German saloon called the Audi S5 Sportback. Audi is launching back to back new cars in the Indian market. Recently, the carmaker launched the new Q2 and now the company will launch the Audi S5 Sportback in India by the end of this year. It will be powered by a BS6-compliant 3.0-litre TFSI turbocharged petrol engine. This turbocharged petrol motor will churn out around 350 PS of power and 500 Nm of peak torque. Nissan has recently launched the all-new Nissan Magnite in India and its introductory prices range between Rs. 4.99 lakhs - Rs. 9.35 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi. These introductory prices will be valid for the customers who book their car before December 31, 2020. The Magnite is powered by a BS6-compliant 1.0-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine. This motor churns out 72 PS of power at 6250 RPM and 96 Nm of peak torque at 3500 RPM. It also gets an all-new 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine. This turbo petrol motor churns out 100 PS of maximum power at 5000 RPM and 160 Nm of peak torque at 2800 - 3600 RPM (152 Nm of torque at 2200 - 4400 RPM for CVT). Both the engines come mated to a five-speed manual gearbox and the turbo petrol also gets a CVT.
BMW 2-Series Gran Coupe Black Shadow Edition

BMW India recently launched a new limited edition model of the 2-Series Gran Coupe called the Black Shadow Edition. This new exclusive edition of the 2020 BMW 2-Series Gran Coupe has been priced at Rs. 42.30 lakhs, Ex-showroom pan-India. This new Black Shadow Edition of the 2-Series GC will be limited to just 24 units only and it is kitted with BMW's 'M' Performance parts worth 2.50 lakh rupees. The new 2-Series GC is available in the 220d guise only. It is powered by a BS6-compliant 2.0-litre TwinPower Turbo inline-four diesel engine. This oil-burner churns out 190 PS of maximum power and 400 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and the tranny channels the power to the front wheels only.
