Hero Xoom 125R; Launched At Bharat Mobility Global Expo

There was always going to be an electric version of the Access, and Suzuki has now finally revealed the e-Access at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo. Unlike the petrol-powered Access, the e-Access gets a rather sleek and a mellow, but comparatively more youthful design language.

Underneath the new looks, the e-Access gets a 3.07kWh LFP battery pack, with a claimed range of 95km on a single charge. The battery can be fully charged via a home charger in a claimed time of 6.4 hours, and the same via a fast charger takes a claimed 2.12 hours. It also retains the same LCD instrument cluster with bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, call/SMS alerts, ETA updates and fuel consumption data. Additionally, it now also gets weather updates, high speed alert, a digital wallet, last parked location, and vehicle service alerts.

The front apron now also receives two cubbyholes, while the fuel lid can now be opened via the ignition key slot. The underseat storage space has also now gone up from 21.8-litres to 24.4-litres.

TVS Jupiter CNG

The Jupiter CNG was also among the many two-wheelers shown at the Auto Expo. However, it is not based on the new Jupiter 110, but rather the current Jupiter 125. It runs on both petrol and CNG, and the 125cc engine here produces 7.1bhp and 9.4Nm of torque, which is only marginally lesser than its petrol-powered sibling.

The presence of a CNG tank underneath the skin means that there is effectively no underseat storage space, and it stores 9.5-litres of gas. In terms of efficiency, TVS claims a mileage of 84km/kg. Not much is known about the features list, but it gets a semi-digital cluster. More shall be known closer to its launch.

TVS Apache RTX 300

For people who've been waiting for an ADV from TVS, their time has almost come. The Apache RTX 300 is a road-biased adventure motorcycle, and it will be the first motorcycle to be powered by the RTX-D4 powertrain. The 299cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder powertrain produces 34.5bhp and 27Nm of torque, paired to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch.

Not much is known in terms of features, but we can expect a similar TFT screen from the RR310, along with a suite of electronic rider aids and smartphone connectivity.

Ampere Xyber

The Xyber is Ampere's first electric bike which was showcased in concept form. It gets a muscular, naked streefighter design, along with 17-inch alloy wheels on both ends, USD forks at the front, and a monoshock at the rear. Its electric motor packs in 13.4bhp, with a claimed top speed of 100kmph.

Not much is known in terms of features, but the Xyber comes with a digital cluster, along with ride modes, and ABS. The Xyber also gets an LFP battery pack with a claimed range of 200km on a single charge, and it is also said to support both AC and DC charging.

Yamaha R7

After showcasing the R7 at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo, it seems like Yamaha is likely to launch it in the Indian market later this year. The R7 is likely to come in via the CBU route, which means they will be significantly more expensive compared to rivals like the recently-relaunched Honda CBR650R, and the Triumph Daytona 660.

The R7 is powered by a 689cc, twin-cylinder engine producing 72.3bhp at at 8,750rpm and 67Nm of torque at 6,500rpm, while paired to a 6-speed gearbox with a quickshifter and a slipper-assist clutch. Much like the R3, the R7 also packs no electronic rider aids, with the exception of dual-channel ABS.

Yamaha Lander 250

bharat mobility global expo

The Lander 250 is a dual-sport ADV motorcycle that was on display at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo. While Yamaha has not commented on any specific plans, the Lander 250 could make a potential rival to the Kawasaki KLX 230 and the Hero Xpulse 210.

The Lander 250 shares its 249cc, single-cylinder powertrain with the now-discontinued FZ25, producing 20.5bhp and 20.6Nm of torque. The suspension makes use of conventional telescopic forks up front with 220mm of travel, along with a monoshock at the rear with 204mm of travel. It also seems to get disc brakes on both ends, while the features list remains unknown for now.

Yamaha FZ-S Hybrid

bharat mobility global expo

The FZ-S Hybrid is not too different from the regular FZ-S visually, and it also retains the same 149cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 12.2bhp and 13.3Nm of torque, paired to a 5-speed gearbox.

However, the FZ-S Hybrid now gets an integrated starter-motor generator, similar to what's seen on the Fascino and the RayZR. It gives the bike a small boost in torque, along with adding start/stop tech and a silent-start function.

In terms of features, it now also gets a TFT cluster with navigation, call/SMS alerts, and music streaming.

Verdict

A lot of interesting new metal shown at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo, and we can expect most of it to be launched in the coming future as well. With fresh new two-wheelers, a CNG scooter, new EVs and plenty more, we can expect a lot of action in the near future.
