KEY HIGHLIGHTS
- Honda Dio gets the H-Smart suite
- Features list resembles the Activa H-Smart
- Price of the Honda Dio H-Smart set at Rs. 77,712
Honda after getting a lot of eyes towards its Activa H-Smart, gives another scooter the smarter treatment. Yes, the iconic Honda Dio now gets the more techy H-Smart suite of features. But what exactly does it brings with itself apart from the slew of features? It's the Refreshed styling elements, features, and more.
So, Let's not wait any further and jump straight to the top highlights of the Dio H-Smart.
1. Now With Alloys For A Sportier Appeal
The top-spec H-Smart variant now rolls on new alloy wheels rather than the steel wheels that are present on the lower 2 trims- Standard and Delux. This imparts a more sporty aesthetic appeal to the scooter. However, if you want alloys, you only get them only with the H-Smart variant only. Meanwhile, the alloys are the same as the Honda Active H-Smart.
2. Smart Remote Key- The Spotlight Is Here
Where all the magic happens is the Smart suite of features. You don't get a conventional key, but a remote key fob that works exactly like the one you get with a car. What can it do for you? The list is as exciting as it gets.
Feature | Functionality |
Smart Find | When within 10 metres of the scooter, all indicators will flash, to help you locate the scooter |
Smart Unlock | The handle, fuel lid and seat can all be unlocked from up to two metres away. |
Smart Safe | The scooter can be turned on if you're within two meters. But if the distance increases, the scooter automatically locks |
Smart Start | Start your scooter by turning the knob and pushing the start button |
The smart features are the same as found on the Activa H-Smart. With this key in your pocket, you can start your scooter just like you do with your push-button start/stop car. Cool right!

3. New Graphics And Logo
The new Honda Dio apart from its sporty new looks, gets complementing new graphics and a new Dio logo as well. When paired with the overall design and looks, all the components sit very neatly together to inspire a more modern and agile impression.
4. Fully Digital Meter
Just getting the H-Smart name isn't going to cut it, so, the analog console is now evolved into a fully digital one, which looks techy and displays a host of ride statistics like DTE, average mileage, real-time mileage, and more.
5. OBD-2 Compliant Engine
And lastly, the mandatory engine update. While the engine displacement remains the same and the power figures are also not tinkered with, the engine is now OBD-2 compliant. It is the same 110 cc with a power of 7.6 PS and a peak torque of 9 Nm.
VERDICT- With the launch of H-Smart Dio, Honda is looking to woo customers with added tech. And why not? It seems to be following the proven track record of the Activa H-Smart that managed to reel in more buyers with these high-tech features. However, at Rs. 77,712, which is a bit more pricey than the Hero Xoom 110, the road will not be all merry and roses.
