The Toyota Fortuner Leader edition was Introduced in India a few months back. The new edition is the latest addition to the brand's Fortuner's lineup. The Leader Edition of the SUV comes based on the standard Fortuner 4X2 and gets a bunch of sporty elements in its design. Fortuner Leader Edition: Design
The Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition easily differentiates with design elements such as the dual-tone colour options and blacked-out 17-inch alloy wheel. The dual colour palette includes options such as Super White, Silver Metallic, and Platinum Pearl and the contrasting black elements are standard across all the colour options. The Fortuner Leader Edition also gets official accessories such as the front and rear bumper spoilers. Some other features of the full-size SUV include dual-tone interiors, wireless charger and TPMS.
Powertrain
The Leader Edition of the Fortuner comes powered by a 2.8-litre diesel unit that makes 201 bhp of power and 420 Nm of torque in the manual variant. In comparison, the automatic variant generates a peak torque of 500 Nm. The diesel engine is paired with a 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox. The Fortuner Leader Edition is not offered with AWD configuration and is limited to a 4X2 drivetrain only.
