Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has launched a new variant of its most affordable MPV Rumion in India. The brand has launched the Rumion G AT variant at Rs 13 lakh (ex-showroom). The G AT is the third automatic variant in the Rumion lineup and it acts as the mid variant in the automatic lineup. Toyota Rumion G AT
The newly launched Rumion G AT gets a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, Toyota i-Connect connectivity with remote climate control, lock/unlock, and other connected features. The G AT variant gets all the features similar to the manual transmission trim of the same variant. For safety, it gets dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD, hill-hold assist, and electronic stability control among other features.
On the design front, the Rumion gets a chrome finish on the front bumper, LED headlamps and tail lamps, chrome garnish on the tailgate, LED tail lamps, and two-tone machine-cut alloy wheels. The interior has a dual-tone theme with a wooden finish on the dashboard and door panels.
Toyota Rumion G AT Engine
The new Rumion G AT version comes with a 1.5-litre K-Series petrol engine. This engine produces 101.6 bhp of power and 136.8 Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a 6-speed AT gearbox. The Rumion also comes with a CNG powertrain producing 86.6 bhp of power and 121.5 Nm of peak torque. This engine comes mated with a 5-speed manual gearbox only.
Verdict
The newly launched Toyota Rumion G AT variant has increased the trim options for the Rumion Automatic. Previously, it was available with 2 automatic variants only and now the third variant will give additional options to the customers.
