The Tiger 900 Series will be introduced by the British Premium bikemaker to replace the Tiger 800 Series in the country. The new Triumph Tiger 900 gets a completely fresh and updated design language, an all-new engine with new features and is loaded with tech. It is based on a new lightweight split trellis frame with a bolt-on-rear aluminium subframe which is very good news for adventure-seeking enthusiasts. The new adventure motorcycle looks striking and gets a sleeker profile. The front fascia of the bike looks sharp with LED headlights and LED DRLs and it gets a slim profile which looks less bulky than the Tiger 800.
Internationally, the Tiger 900 Series is available in multiple variants. It is offered in Base, Rally, Rally Pro, GT and GT Pro variants. And, while the GT versions are for touring purpose, the Rally trims are more off-road oriented. It is expected that Triumph will initially launch the Tiger 900 in India in three variants: Base, GT Pro and Rally Pro and the GT and Rally variants will be introduced at a later point of time.
Powering the Triumph Tiger 900 series is a BS6-compliant 888cc, liquid-cooled, inline 3-cylinder engine that produces 95 PS of power at 8750 RPM and 87 Nm of peak torque at 7250 RPM. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The motorcycle gets up to 6 different riding modes: Rain, Road, Sport, Off-Road, Rider-configurable and Off-Road Pro but the Base version only gets Rain and Road modes. Also, it gets a ton of electronic aids including standard Electronic cruise control on all Rally and GT versions while the Pro models also get a bi-directional quickshifter.
Triumph Tiger 900 Series is loaded with the modern-day tech and it gets a host of features including an all-digital TFT display for instrumentation with smartphone connectivity. This TFT display is big in size and offers an array of customisation options. It offers Bluetooth connectivity, GPS navigation and can also be used to make phone calls and control music. Triumph also offers an optional GoPro module which allows the rider to operate a GoPro action camera through the handlebar controls.
