Renault India showcased two electric cars at the 2020 Auto Expo. One of them was the Renault K-ZE, the electric cousin of the Kwid. It will be called the Kwid Electric in India. The upcoming Kwid Electric will get a 26.8 kWh lithium-ion battery pack mated to an electric motor that will churn out 44 PS of power and 125 Nm of peak torque. It can be charged from 0-80 per cent in just 30 minutes with the help of a fast charger. Also, it can run up to 270 kilometres on a single charge. The Renault Kwid Electric is expected to be priced under Rs. 10 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi.
GWM ORA R1 EV
The next car which we have in our listicle is the most affordable EV in the world. The GWM ORA R1 EV will be launched in India soon. The ORA R1 EV was showcased in India at the 2020 Auto Expo was powered by a 33 kW electric motor that churns out 48 PS of power and 125 Nm of torque with a lithium-ion battery pack that delivers 300 kilometres of range on a single charge. However, it might get a bigger 36 kWh lithium-ion battery pack with more power, torque & driving range in India too. The upcoming GWM ORA R1 EV is expected to be priced under Rs. 10 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi.
Maruti Suzuki WagonR EV
Maruti Suzuki has been testing its electric cars in India since a really long time and now, the carmaker will soon launch its first electric car in India based on the WagonR. We don't know the exact powertrain options of the upcoming WagonR EV but it will get a lithium-ion battery pack that will deliver around 180-200 kilometres of range on a single charge. Aesthetically and features-wise, it will be similar to the regular ICE-powered WagonR. We expect the upcoming Maruti Suzuki WagonR EV to be priced under Rs. 10 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi.
Tata Altroz EV
Tata Motors showcased the Altroz EV at the 2020 Auto Expo. The Nexon EV is already very popular in India and so the company will soon launch the Altroz EV too. The Altroz EV will feature a 30.2 kWh lithium-ion battery pack with a permanent magnet asynchronous electric motor that will churn out 129 PS of power and 245 Nm of torque. It will get a 30.2 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that will deliver a range of around 300 kilometres on a single charge. We expect the upcoming Tata Altroz EV to be priced around Rs. 12 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi.
Ford Aspire EV
Ford Aspire EV will be one of the very first products to be developed under the alliance of Mahindra and Ford. The upcoming Aspire EV will be based on the long-wheelbase version of the Aspire. It is expected to be powered by an electric motor that will develop around 82 PS of power. It will be paired to a 25 kWh battery that will deliver a real-world range of around 150-180 kilometres on a single charge. The upcoming Ford Aspire EV is expected to be priced around Rs. 12 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi.
Mahindra eXUV300
Mahindra showcased the pre-production version of the upcoming XUV300 Electric at the 2020 Auto Expo. The XUV300 Electric will be officially called the eXUV300. It will be powered by a 40 kWh lithium-ion battery pack and will deliver a range of around more than 300 kilometres on a single charge. However, the exact power and torque figures of the electric motor has not been revealed yet. The upcoming Mahindra eXUV300 will directly rival against the Tata Nexon EV and it is expected to be priced around Rs. 15 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi.
Volvo XC40 Recharge
Now, we have some luxury cars in our listicle of Upcoming Electric Cars in India. The Swedish carmaker Volvo will launch the electrified version of the Volvo XC40 in India next year. The Volvo XC40 Recharge will be powered by two electric motors that will deliver a combined output of 408 PS of power and a whopping 660 Nm peak torque. Its top speed will be limited to 180 kmph. The new XC40 Recharge will get a 78kWh lithium-ion battery pack that will deliver a range of around 400 kilometres on a single charge. It can be charged from 0-80 per cent in just 40 minutes with the help of a 150kW DC fast charger. The upcoming Volvo XC40 Recharge is expected to be priced from Rs. 50 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi.
Mercedes-Benz EQC
Mercedes-Benz will launch India's first Luxury Electric Car - EQC in India on October 8, 2020. It will be powered by an 80 kWh battery pack mated with two electric motors that belt out 400 PS of power and a whopping 760 Nm of torque. It can sprint from 0-100 kmph in just 5.1 seconds while the top speed is limited to 180 kmph. The EQC can be charged from 0-80 per cent in just 40 minutes via a DC fast charger and it can run around 450 kilometres on a single charge. The Mercedes-Benz EQC is expected to be priced around Rs. 1 Crore, Ex-showroom Delhi.

Audi e-tron
The next luxury EV that we have in our listicle is the Audi e-tron. The Audi e-tron was showcased in India last year and it will be launched soon. It will be powered by a 95 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that will deliver a range of around 350-400 kilometres on a single charge. It will get two electric motors that will churn out 355 PS of power and 561 Nm of torque while with boost the outputs will be 402 PS and 664 Nm. The top-speed of the e-tron will be 200 kmph and it can be charged from 0-80 per cent in just 30 minutes with the help of level 3 fast charger. The upcoming Audi e-tron is expected to be priced around Rs. 1 Crore, Ex-showroom Delhi.
Jaguar I-PACE
The Jaguar I-PACE electric SUV has been recently listed on Jaguar's official India website hinting its imminent launch. The I-PACE will be powered by two electric motors that will churn out around 400 PS of power and 696 Nm of peak torque. The top speed of the EV is limited to 200 kmph. It will be paired with a 90kWh lithium-ion battery pack that will deliver a range of over 470 kilometres on a single charge. It can be charged from 0-80 per cent in just 40 minutes with the help a 100 kW DC fast charger. The upcoming Jaguar I-PACE is expected to be priced from Rs. 1 Crore, Ex-showroom Delhi.
