Kia Clavis SUV Details - What To Expect?
Kia's upcoming model Clavis has been spotted yet again. This time, a camouflaged test car is seen heading towards the upper Himalayas. The Clavis will be positioned above the Sonet and below Seltos in India. It'll get a unique design with large windows and a typical boxy shape. The vertical LED DRLs visible on the test car hint towards a rectangular design theme which might be inspired by the Kia EV9. The sharp LED headlights will be connected via a light bar on the front. Similarly, the rear end will get a straight vertical boot lid with a connected LED light setup.
On the inside, Clavis will be designed identical to Seltos. Hence, we assume that its dashboard will look identical to the Seltos along with similar features like a 10.25-inch infotainment screen & a digital instrument cluster. Additionally, the leather interiors will enhance its spacious cabin and could possibly get captain seats for the second row. Adding to it, the boot space of Clavis will be a strong USP as the design looks spacious.
Powering the Clavis will be similar to engine options as seen on the Sonet. Therefore, we expect it to get options of two petrol and one diesel engines. Moreover, the transmission options will include a manual, an iMT, a torque converter AT, and a DCT option.
The Clavis is expected to launch later this year. While Kia has not revealed any launch timeline, we expect that it'll launch by Diwali festive season. Its expected pricing is Rs 10-15 lakh (ex-showroom).
