Kia EV4 Specifications

The upcoming Kia EV4 design was previewed just a while ago, where this all-electric mover was revealed with a sedan and a hatchback bodystyle, with very styling in-line with the modern Kia EV design philosophy joining in to expand the Kia's electric line-up after the Kia EV6, As for the range and battery pack, the stats are out and they are promising. Kia's EV4, sharing its architecture with the EV3, comes with dual battery options; a 58.3 kWh standard and a larger 81.4 kWh for extended range, whereas a single, front-mounted electric motor delivers 201 hp across both models. Performance varies slightly, with the standard reaching 100 km/h in 7.4 seconds, and the long-range in 7.7 seconds, where both the models are capped at 170 km/h. Coming to the range, the sedan configuration offers 430 km with the standard battery and 630 km with the extended. The hatchback, on the other hand, achieves a reported 590 km on the longer range version, but with the standard, it comes down to 410 km on a single charge.
Interior And Features

The EV4's interior is a tech showcase, headlined by a sprawling 30-inch panoramic display, similar to what you get in the Indian-market with the Kia Syros. This setup neatly integrates two 12.3-inch screens for the driver's info and entertainment, alongside a smaller 5.3-inch screen for climate control. Ambient lighting and an optional eight-speaker Harman Kardon sound system keeps the cabin experience at par with the premiumness that you would expect. Other features include over-the-air updates, built-in access to Netflix, YouTube, Disney+, for entertainment on the go, sliding table console, rotating armrest, and more.

India Launch Soon?
The sedan and hatch siblings will begin retail in March 2025 with the Korean market and then globally as well. As for the Indian market, there is no official confirmation as of now, but going by the plans that Kia has for India, the EV4 is highly likely to enter our domestic market with a place below the Kia EV6 around late 2025.
Verdict
The Kia EV4 twins makes a lot of sense for the Indian market considering how the brand is currently doing and the surge of EVs in the country. While the EV6 marks the presence of Kia in the EV space, its premium price tag restricts its mass acceptance. Sitting at a place lower in the portfolio, Kia could really use some more help with the new models to become more relevant in the space.
