Nissan will step into the shoes of compact SUV segment and make its debut with the upcoming Magnite and the same will now launch of December 2, 2020. Once launched, this SUV will rival with the likes of Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Ford Ecosport and Mahindra XUV300.

Sharing details on the engine specs first then it gets two units - a 1.0litre naturally aspirated petrol and a more powerful 1.0-litre turbo petrol. The former is also seen in the Renault Triber and makes as much as 72 PS at 6250 RPM with a peak torque of 96 Nm at 3500 RPM.

However, it is the latter which gives excitement since it develops 100 PS of power at 5500 RPM and a peak torque of 160 Nm at 2800-3600 RPM and CVT makes 152 Nm of torque at 2200 - 4400 RPM. Both the engines gets a standard 5-speed manual gearbox and a CVT is reserved for the turbo petrol unit.
Following on the features front, it will host a larger 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as modern connectivity features. Also on the offer will be air purifier, cruise control, 360-degree camera, sound mood lighting, JBL speakers, digital instrument cluster and more.
What's attractive is its design which gets an octagonal grille which is big in size which looks crisp and porportionate. The big L-shaped Daytime Running Lights also looks amazing. To make it an interesting appeal among the new-age consumers, body cladding is observed thouroughly on the body too. You will also get to see skid plates at both the front and rear bumper to give it a sporty appeal.

Coming to the pricing department then we still aren't sure as for how much it will be available to the consumer but we can give one assurity and that is, it will be the cheapest compact SUV in the segment. We are expecting it to start from Rs 5.40 lakh and the top model fetching till Rs 8.40 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
