Nissan India is going to break its silence early next year and will continue to launch new products in India. As the launch of the new Nissan Magnite is around the corner, Nissan has teased the upcoming Magnite B-SUV. Nissan will unveil the B-SUV concept on 16th July whereas the India launch is scheduled to happen in January 2021.
Nissan has been teasing the Magnite SUV for a while now and now we have some clean pictures to look out for details. The teased pictures you see here of the upcoming Magnite have been officially shared by Nissan and it is in concept form right now. The design of the Magnite is inspired by the Datsun cars and it was expected to wear a Datsun badge in the beginning.

The further change in plans led to a change of brand placement and now the B-SUV will be sold with a Nissan badge. However, you will still notice some Datsun-esque design elements like the octagonal grille and L-shaped LED DRLs. Talking about the design of the Magnite SUV, the front gets a big grille which is flanked by chrome borders. The main full LED headlights sit on the top - unlike the Renaut Kiger which comes with spilt setup.
The L-shaped LED DRLs sit on the bumper and seems to be inspired by the Datsun Redi-go. The SUV character has been further accentuated by flared wheel arches and black body cladding. As these images show the concept form of the Magnite, you will see big off-road tyres here but that won't be offered with the production model. We expect it to get 17-inch alloy wheels in the top trims.

Nissan India won't leave any stones unturned to make the Magnite affordable and feature-loaded as it is the future deciding product for the brand. We expect the Magnite will offer digital instrument cluster, electric sunroof, cruise control and 360-degree parking camera as unique features.
Talking about the engines, the upcoming Nissan Magnite will draw power from a 1.0-litre 3-pot turbo petrol with an expected power of 100 PS and 160 Nm of torque. Nissan will also offer automatic transmission option as well to take on the competition. Nissan Magnite is expected to start from Rs 5.25 lakhs and the top trims will touch the 8 lakh mark ex-showroom. Lower trims will be powered by a 1.0-litre petrol engine with 72 PS and 96 Nm of torque.
