Upcoming Royal Enfield Hunter Spied On Test - Reveals New Details

Royal Enfield is planning to launch multiple new motorcycles in the Indian market in the coming years. The launch of the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is just around the corner and it will be launched really soon. The upcoming Meteor 350 will be based on the bikemaker's new J1D platform. A lot of new upcoming RE motorcycles will be based on this J-platform and one of them will be the RE Hunter. The upcoming Royal Enfield Hunter has now been spied once again in India and this time its clear images reveal new details.

Royal Enfield Hunter Spied

As we all know, Royal Enfield is working on multiple new motorcycles for the Indian market. This includes the new-generation Classic 350, Meteor 350 which will replace the Thunderbird series in RE's India line-up. Also, this Madras-based Indian two-wheeler manufacturer is working on a lightweight motorcycle to attract the youth audience and the female riders. We believe that the upcoming RE Hunter can be just that motorcycle and it will be an attempt from Royal Enfield to cater to a wide range of audience.

However, there is no official confirmation on the name 'Hunter' for this motorcycle and we also aren't too sure about the nomenclature. Royal Enfield has patented two names for its upcoming motorcycles. One of them is the Hunter while the other is the Sherpa. So, it can be called Sherpa too. Also, there is no confirmation whether it will be a 350cc motorcycle or a baby Royal Enfield with a smaller capacity engine.

Royal Enfield Hunter Price

According to some reports, the upcoming Royal Enfield Hunter could be a quarter-litre motorcycle. That's because a 250cc Royal Enfield will be more affordable, more accessible to buyers and lightweight too so that it can lure the young audience as well as the female riders. That said, we will come to know more about the powertrain of this motorcycle in the near future. But, if it gets a 250cc mill, it will be the first 250cc Royal Enfield offering.

Now, talking about the looks of this motorcycle, so as you can see it hardly resembles any current Royal Enfield motorcycle. It sports a modern appeal with retro charm. At the front, it gets a round headlamp with round turn-indicators and subtle chrome inserts. From the side, one can see that it gets conventional telescopic front forks with fork cover gaiters and a stubby exhaust. The exhaust on this motorcycle is unlike any other Royal Enfield we have ever seen before.

Also, the upcoming RE Hunter will get an almost flat single-piece seat, wide handlebar, a muscular fuel tank, round rear-view mirrors and at the rear, it will get a LED taillight. The motorcycle will also get disc brakes both at the front as well as the rear and we expect it to feature dual-channel ABS. Also, it seems that it will get a twin-pod instrument cluster like the upcoming RE Meteor 350. The upcoming Meteor 350 will get Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, etc. and same can be expected for the Hunter too.

Royal Enfield Meteor 350 spied with accessories

Speaking of the Meteor 350, so this Royal Enfield motorcycle will be launched very soon in the Indian market. Just a few days ago, its variants, features and colour details leaked on the internet. Also, a test mule of the Meteor 350 was spied with the Hunter too and the Meteor was wearing some official RE accessories. Coming back to the Hunter, so recently the upcoming Royal Enfield Hunter was just spied in India. We expect this sporty baby Royal Enfield to hit the Indian showrooms by mid-2021.

Also, if speculations turn out to be true and Royal Enfield launches it as a 250cc motorcycle, then we expect it to be priced in the ballpark of Rs. 1.30 lakhs - Rs. 1.40 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi. This will make it the most affordable Royal Enfield on sale in the country. What are your thoughts on the upcoming Royal Enfield Hunter? Tell us in the comments below.
