The prominent Japanese car manufacturer Toyota is readying its new SUV for Indian launch. The upcoming Toyota RAV4 SUV was recently spied testing on the outskirts of Pune. The test mule comprised of a top box and seemed production-ready. Toyota plans to launch the RAV4 in India as a CBU (Completely Built Unit).

Toyota RAV4 SUV Design & Features
Toyota has been selling the RAV4 globally for ages. The car looks premium and embarks the true emblem of Toyota's reliability and practicality mixture. The RAV4 is moreover a soft-road SUV than a hardcore says the Toyota Fortuner SUV. The design of the RAV4 is one of its USPs and it beholds that even as a test mule spied in Pune.
The design layout is Lexus-inspired, and the RAV4 uses sharper lines and edges that make it look bigger than its actual size. At 4.6-mt in length, the RAV4 is more like a mid-size SUV & it is based on the T-NGA platform from Toyota. The front grille is prominent enough to make the car notice from far away. Engine & Specifications
Globally, Toyota sells the RAV4 with an ultra-reliable 2.5-lt, naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine comes equipped with a CVT transmission and produces a peak power output of 218 hp on tap. Toyota has engineered the RAV4 to behold a hybrid system along with the ICE powertrain. This battery power helps the car to run on an e-4WD by supplying the power to the rear wheels. For the rest of the time, the RAV4 remains a front-wheel drive.
Toyota also uses some advanced features such as vehicle stability control, bird's eye view camera with perimeter scan, blind-spot monitoring, pre-collision system, 8-airbags, etc. As the Indian model will be a CBU, consider this equipment to follow as well, thus, making it one of the safest SUVs in the country.
For now, the official announcement awaits from Toyota about the RAV4 hybrid SUVs launch in India. Currently, Toyota is working on a new generation of the Innova Crysta MPV that is slated to debut anytime later this year.
