- Expect it to be powered by 2 petrol engine options
- It will get features loaded up to the brim
- Launch expected early next year
Toyota recently trademarked a new name, Taisor and the same is expected to be launched early next year. This could either be a compact SUV or a crossover and in this article, we share with you everything there is to know about this model.
Sharing details on the engine specifications then it can either get a 1.5L petrol or a more powerful, 1.0L turbo petrol motor under the hood. Both units are expected to be sourced from Maruti only. The former is the same as found in the Brezza, XL6 and Ertiga.
The four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine churns out 102 bhp of power with a peak torque of 136.8 Nm. It gets mated to a five-speed manual transmission as standard and a six-speed torque converter automatic as an option.

The 1.0L motor could be the booster jet engine that was discontinued ahead of the BS6 emission norms. This too is will be sourced from Maruti and was last seen in the Baleno. If the Taisor is a crossover then we expect this motor could follow here. The exact power figure is not known yet but we expect it to be north of 105 bhp. Do expect a five-speed manual with the same.
Feature-wise, we expect a 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, 360-view camera, head-up display, sunroof (either panoramic or an electric unit), ventilated cooled seats, cruise control and more.
