Triumph Daytona 660: Teaser Drops
In the sneak peek, we got a glimpse of the front of the bike, showcasing a wide LED headlamp neatly tucked into a sharp and layered fairing. The fuel tank has a strong look, though the back isn't as long as the Daytona 765. Recently, people spotted the Triumph Daytona 660 being tested. One of the pictures showed a round instrument cluster that looks a lot like the ones on the other 660 cc bikes. It will likely come with handy features like different riding modes, traction control, and a quick shifter, all designed to make the riding experience more enjoyable and adaptable to different situations.
The upcoming Daytona 660 is set to have its own unique look while sharing similarities with Triumph's special Daytona Moto2 765 bike, which is a limited edition model. The Daytona 660 is going to be built based on Triumph's existing 660cc modelsthe Trident and Tiger Sport.

The motorcycle will be equipped with the familiar 660cc, inline triple-cylinder engine found in the Tiger Sport 660 and Trident 660, delivering a robust 80bhp and 64Nm of torque. It comes with a 6-speed gearbox and a wet, multi-plate, slip clutch.
The chassis appears to mirror that of the Trident, albeit with a modified sub-frame to accommodate the new tail design. It features 17-inch alloy wheels fitted with Michelin tires and is supported by USD forks and a mono-shock for a smooth ride. Braking is handled by a pair of front discs and a single rear rotor.
When it comes to pricing, it's anticipated to be slightly higher compared to other bikes in the 660 cc segment if it gets introduced in India. The Trident 660 is currently priced at Rs 8.12 lakh, and the Tiger Sport 660 starts at Rs 9.34 lakh. However, considering that both the existing 660 models from Triumph are available in India, it's likely that the Daytona 660 will also make its way to the market.
Verdict
The Triumph Daytona 660 appears to be a promising addition to Triumph's lineup, combining sleek design elements with proven performance features. The shared platform with the Trident and Tiger Sport suggests reliability, and if priced competitively, it could attract a wide range of riders.
