At a manufacturing plant in South Carolina, both the EX90 and S60 sedan are produced. The facility has the capacity to churn out up to 150,000 cars annually. Interestingly, the S60 sedan was discontinued in India back in 2022. However, not only will the EX90 EV be introduced in India, but the EX30 will also find its way into the Indian market.
Currently, India's car lineup includes two electric SUVs, namely the C40 Recharge and the XC40 Recharge, along with the solitary sedan, the S90.

On the global stage, the EX90 Electric SUV offers various motor configurations. Its top-tier variant boasts an impressive 111kWh battery pack, delivering a maximum power output of 514 bhp (380 kW) and 910 Nm of torque, and achieving a top speed of 180 km/h.

On the other hand, the base variant, equipped with a single motor, features a 104 kWh battery producing 279 bhp and 490 Nm of torque, with a top speed of 160 km/h. Meanwhile, the mid variant, sporting a twin motor setup, is powered by a 111 kWh battery, generating 408 bhp and 770 Nm of torque, with a top speed matching that of the top variant.

When the EX30 launches in India, it's expected to debut in the entry-level variant. Globally, it offers two motor configurations: one with a single motor powering the rear wheels (RWD) and the other with twin motors for all-wheel drive (AWD). It's packed with a 69.0 kWh battery capacity, delivering 268 bhp and 343 Nm of torque for the former, and a punchier 422 bhp and 542 Nm of torque for the latter. These specifications hint at its versatile performance capabilities.

Verdict
Once it hits the Indian market, the upcoming launch of this product is expected to come with a hefty premium price tag. It will likely compete with other high-end models in terms of pricing, as there aren't any direct competitors for either model in India.
