When launched in India, the Yezdi RoadKing will be a premium offering and it will feature a 650 cc engine, Anupam Thareja confirms.
In an interview with Anupam Thareja, the co-founder of Classic Legends, it was confirmed that the Yezdi RoadKing India launch is very well on the cards. He further confirmed that the motorcycle is already in development and it will feature a new chassis and engine, completely different from the three motorcycles: Adventure, Scrambler, and Roadster.
Given how Classic Legends revived the Jawa by retaining its old charm design-wise with a modern approach. We can expect RoadKing to follow the same route as well. In fact, we have already got a glimpse of the upcoming bike via the Adventure, which features the boxy fuel tank. Besides the retro styling, the Yezdi RoadKing will be a modern motorcycle with features like all-LED headlights, Bluetooth connectivity, a USB charger, a semi-digital instrument cluster, multi-mode ABS, and Navigation as well.

As for the chassis, our assumption is that the RoadKing will sit on the same platform as the recently unveiled BSA Gold Stars 650. It might also use the same 650 cc engine, for it makes perfect sense, as it would be a suicidal investment to restrict the new engine and chassis to just one model.
The 652 cc engine in the Gold Star is a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 45.6 Ps and 55 Nm of torque. It comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch assist. However, we cant say for sure if Classic Legends will use the same engine or tune it to make it affordable for the Indian market.

As far as Yezdi RoadKing's India launch date is concerned, we cannot guess an exact date for were not sure as to which stage of development the Yezdi RoadKing is in. However, given that the Yezdi just launched three new motorcycles, theyll be focusing their attention on the sales of these bikes. But officials have confirmed, that the RoadKing will launch soon, so maybe sometime around late-2022 or early-2023. And once launched, the RoadKing will lock horns directly with the Interceptor 650, so, expect prices to start from Rs. 2.60 lakhs onwards.
