
We earlier told you that the Hyundai India will hike the prices of all their car models from January and new details have surfaced that some of the models will get pricier by Rs 33,000. Yes, right from the entry-level Santro to the popular SUV, Creta, most of the cars will receive price hike.

It is the Hyundai Verna which receives the highest hike of Rs 32,880 followed by the popular mid-size SUV, Creta. The prices of Hyundai Creta will be increased by Rs 27,335 from January. Even the recently launched i20 gets a hike of Rs 7,521.

The entry-level hatchback, Santro sticks with a hike of Rs 9,112 and the Grand i10 Nios prices will be increased by Rs 8,652. Counting on the CNG variant of the Nios, it will see a hike of Rs 14,556 while the Aura CNG will become expensive by Rs 17,988. The petrol and diesel model of Aura sets a hike of Rs 11,745. The third most selling compact SUV, the Venue will see an increase in the price of Rs 25,672.
The flagship sedan Elantra and the SUV, Tucson do not see any price hike. Both the models are acquired with to-notch features along with extra comfort for the people acquiring cars of this budget. Currently, Elantra has all the market to itself as Honda has pulled the plug from the Civic, the Octavia and Corolla Altis were discontinued earlier only.

Hyundai is the second-largest carmaker in the Indian market after Maruti Suzuki. The carmaker is keen on bringing new models next year to conquer micro SUV segment, premium MPV segment and is also working on the Ford Endeavour and Toyota Fortuner hardcore rival.
