California-based Zero Motorcycles have recently partnered with Hero Motocorp. The brand seems to be planning to start its inning in the Indian market soon. A test mule of the Zero FXE electric motorcycle has been spotted on Indian roads, suggesting that the brand is preparing to bring its vehicles to India soon. ZERO FXE Motorcycle

The newly spotted Zero FXE electric motorcycle boasts a supermoto styling with an ADV-inspired front beak, round LED headlamp, a single seat setup, raised handlebar, alloy wheels, and mid-set footpegs. The motorcycle is already on sale in the US market and that also boasts the same design.

If we talk about the hardware of the FXE electric motorcycle, the international version is equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels, Showa 41mm inverted front forks, Showa mono shock absorber at the rear, 320 mm front and 240mm rear disc brake with ABS. On the features front, it gets all LED lighting and a digital instrument cluster

Based on the specs available on the international website, the Zero FXE is powered by a 7.2 kWh battery pack. It produces 46 bhp of peak power and a peak torque of 105 Nm. The battery gives the motorcycle a range of 169 km on a single charge. Moreover, it can reach a top speed of 137 km/h. If we talk about charging, it can be charged from 0-100 percent in 9.7 hours using a 650W charger. The electric motorcycle gets a belt drive system.

Verdict

Hero Motocorp & Zero Motorcycles has formed a partnership to bring Zero Motorcycles in India. The sighting of the test mule indicates that the plan is progressing well. Hero Motocorp's EV division is based in Bengaluru, and the Zero FXE was spotted in Karnataka, suggesting that the brand has already begun testing.
