Zontes Motorcycles is a Chinese motorcycle brand that is known for its variety of bikes globally. Its India entry will bring 5 new bikes to the market.
Making the competition in the entry-level performance bikes category exciting, Zontes Motorcycles has announced its India entry. The China-based motorcycle manufacturer will launch soon in a collab with Adishwar Auto Ride India (AARI). The lineup will include 5 motorcycles ranging from 125cc to 310cc segments.
Mind you, AARI is also known to handle the business for Benelli, Keeway, soon-to-launch Moto Morini, and the upcoming Zontes as well. Speaking of the Zontes lineup, the main focus of the brand is on the entry-level performance bike category. Along with this, it also endorses some segment-first technology.

Zontes Motorcycles India Details
According to the officials at the press event, the upcoming brand will have an extensive dealer network across India. This is to cater the demand in the target segments & also to enhance the trust of Indian customers in the foreign brands.
For now, Zontes is aiming to introduce primary two segments. The first will be the 125cc segment where it sells the 125G (neo-retro), 125U (roadster), and 125U1 (supermoto) models globally. These are powered by a 125cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that makes a peak power of 14.7 hp. These models will compete with the rivals like the KTM Duke 125 in India.
For the 310cc segment, Zontes is suspected to launch the 310T2 (ADV tourer), 310R2 (roadster), and 310X2 GP (sports tourer), 310X2 (sports tourer), and 310V (cruiser) bike range. These are different category bikes that are based on a similar engine & chassis structure. Powering this range is a 312cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. It produces a peak power of 35 hp. Upon its launch, the main rivals to it will be the KTM Duke 390, etc.
The spoke wheel versions of these bikes come equipped with a cross-spoke design. This design feature enables the rider to easily install the tubeless tyres. It will be a boon for the customers who prefer the retro looks and also want the practicality along with it. For now, this design feature is only seen on the premium segment bikes in India.
