Design: The BMW X6 comes with its signature coupe-SUV design offering the stance of an SUV with the sleekness of a coupe. The sloping roofline gives it a sporty silhouette, while the wide and planted stance ensures it still carries a strong road presence. At the front, it features a bold blacked-out kidney grille with vertical slats, flanked by sharp LED headlamps with distinctive DRL signatures. The aggressive bumper design, finished with gloss black elements and large air intakes, enhances both aesthetics and cooling efficiency. At the rear, wraparound LED tail lamps, a sculpted tailgate, and twin exhaust outlets integrated into a black bumper complete its dynamic and premium exterior design.

Dimensions: The BMW X6 features a large and imposing footprint, measuring 4,960 mm in length, 2,004 mm in width, and 1,700 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,975 mm. It also offers a ground clearance of 216 mm, making it suitable for varying road conditions, while the 580-litre boot space is pretty generous.

Features: Inside, the BMW X6 offers a premium and tech-rich cabin, highlighted by a dual-screen setup that includes a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The dashboard follows a layered design theme, complemented by ambient lighting elements and a dual-tone interior finish that enhances the sense of luxury. The SUV is equipped with a wide range of comfort and convenience features, including powered front seats with heating and ventilation functions, memory settings for the driver's seat, wireless charging, and a panoramic sunroof. It also features a dedicated climate control panel for dual-zone temperature settings, along with a multifunction steering wheel with physical controls. Additional features such as a powered tailgate and connected tech further improve usability and everyday convenience.

Engine and Powertrain: The BMW X6 M60i is powered by a 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine, paired with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. This setup delivers a combined output of 523 hp and 750 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, which sends power to all four wheels through BMW’s xDrive all-wheel-drive system. Performance figures are equally impressive, with the X6 capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds, while the top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h.

Launch & Price Expectations: The BMW X6 is expected to be launched in the coming months, marking the return of the nameplate after its discontinuation. It is likely to be priced around Rs 1.5 crore (ex-showroom), positioning it in the premium performance SUV segment. Once launched, it will compete with models such as the Audi SQ8, Mercedes-AMG GLE Coupe, and others.
