Volkswagen Polo has been in the market for a decade now and it is always known to be an enthusiasts car. We have shown you several aftermarket modifications related to performance and customisation but never really talked about how much can the Polo deliver in terms of mileage. Well, to answer that, we have the Volkswagen Polo 1.0L TSI and it gives a mileage of 30.50 km/l.
Before we go any further and discuss the mileage figures of the Volkswagen Polo 1.0L TSI and how we achieved it, make sure you are a member of our exclusive 91Wheels Whatsapp group where we share latest updates about the Indian Automotive Industry.
As our other fuel economy runs, we did this run too on the Western Peripheral Expressway which gives us good roads and good views. The total run is close to 200 km which is an ideal run for highways. This particular highway is mostly clear with little to no traffic. Our first step though is filling up the fuel tank.

Here, we followed the old school method of filling up to the brim. Yes, not relying on auto-cut and going a step ahead was our motto. After fueling up, we reset the trip meter to zero and continued our journey ahead. We now continue our journey ahead.
We set the cruise limit to 70 km/h and because of the 6th gear in the Volkswagen Polo 1.0L TSI, the rpm levels remain low. At the first 22 km, the tripmeter says the average is 31.50 km/l which is mind-blowing for a car like this. Our cruise was set to 70km/h.
Also, on our way, there is a steep decline which actually helps us in giving out a greater fuel economy. At that particular point, our fuel economy was 31.9 km/l which was actually good for the 50 km. The cruise was set to the same speed to give the best result possible.
After 100 km, the fuel economy was at 31.5 km/l and at times we even got 32 km/l because of the smooth roads but we wanted to give you the actual figures. The FE figures were quite impressive and the total distance to empty was 1070 km. The latter kept on increasing for us.

After having done 171 km, the distance to empty meter showed us 1190 km which like I said above, kept on increasing. In our last leg, we covered a total distance of 194 km and the tripmeter gave us 31.5 km/l. But, we wanted to know it ourselves to we went to the fuel station and fill the tank up to the brim once again.
The auto-cut came in pretty soon but we wanted to fill it to the brim. So, the total fuel came to 6.36 litres and that was the fuel used to cover the 194 km journey. That's pretty impressive. In real-world, that comes out to 30.50 km/l. Well, the tripmeter of the Polo was actually good and showed transparency all along.
