The BMW X5 continues to be a benchmark luxury SUV that focuses on blending performance, comfort, and everyday usability. In daily use, it delivers strong and refined six-cylinder engines, excellent highway stability, and a well-balanced ride, while the cabin offers premium materials, modern tech, and good practicality for family use. It feels solidly built and remains one of the more engaging SUVs to drive in its segment, which has always been a key strength of the X5.
However, its firm suspension over rough roads and premium pricing compared to some rivals mean it may not appeal to buyers prioritising outright comfort or value. If your priority is a luxury SUV that drives with the composure of a performance car while still offering practicality, the BMW X5 remains a very compelling option.
