The 2026 Maruti Suzuki Baleno facelift is a meaningful update to an already established premium hatchback formula. Rather than changing the car completely, Maruti has focused on areas that make the overall package more modern: sharper styling, a new Z-Series engine, ventilated seats, active-cooled wireless charging, a premium Clarion sound system, and Level 2 ADAS. The new powertrain also adds flexibility, with manual and AMT options and, importantly, the availability of an AMT with the factory-fitted CNG version. The familiar dimensions and cabin layout have been retained, keeping the Baleno's established practical character intact. Its biggest limitation is that the facelift remains focused on refinement and equipment rather than performance. The naturally aspirated three-cylinder engine prioritises efficiency and low-end usability, while the exterior changes are evolutionary rather than dramatic. Overall, the Baleno remains a strong all-round premium hatchback proposition.
