Variant Recommendation
The Victoris is available in many different variants, and it comes loaded with features from the base variant itself. The all-wheel drive system is reserved for the ZXi+ trims. Hence, it is the VXi variant that makes the most sense, as it comes with more than enough features for daily usage while still being accessible in terms of pricing.
Expert Verdict on Victoris
Under-cutting its own sibling the Grand Vitara in terms of price, the Maruti Victoris offers better efficient across all power trains. It offers excellent value for money along with segment first innovations like an underbody CNG tank and gesture controlled powered tail gate. It is feature loaded, comes with a 5-star GNCAP rating and offers one of the best comfort levels in the mid-size SUV space.

Pros & Cons of Maruti Suzuki Victoris
Maruti Suzuki Victoris Detailed Review
- The Victoris comes with a modern design, featuring plenty of trending elements. The front section consists of a split-pattern treatment seen on most new cars, featuring a full-length light strip connecting the headlamps, with the actual grille not on the nose of the car, but placed lower down instead. The higher variants will also see the addition of fog lamps. The full-length strip at the rear will remind you of the e Vitara, and the tailgate has been kept clean.
- From the side, the Victoris gives the appearance of a grown-up Brezza, and it appears every bit recognizable as a Maruti Suzuki. It gets conventional pull-type door handles, and the roofline towards the rear might remind you of something larger. The Victoris comes with 17-inch wheels across all variants, and the alloy rims appear derived from the e Vitara.
Victoris body specifications:
Wheel Size | R17 |
Seating Capacity | 5 seaters |
- The Victoris borrows its set of powertrains from the Grand Vitara, giving customers an option to choose from three different units. The 1.5 litre, mild-hybrid nat-asp petrol is likely going to be the most popular one, producing 101.6bhp and 139Nm of torque, paired to a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter. The all-wheel drive version will be available exclusively with the automatic.
- There is also the strong-hybrid setup, which combines the 1.5-litre petrol with an AC motor. Together, this setup produces 113.9bhp and 141Nm of torque, with an e-CVT sending power to the front wheels. Lastly, those seeking extra efficiency can go for the CNG version, producing 86.6bhp and 121.5Nm of torque in CNG mode, paired to a 5-speed manual transmission.
- Maruti Suzuki claims the Victoris delivers claimed mileage figures of 21.18 kmpl with the 5-speed manual transmission, 21.06 kmpl with the 6-speed torque-converter automatic transmission, 19.07 kmpl with all-wheel drive, and 27.02 km/kg with the S-CNG unit.
Victoris engine specifications:
Transmission | Manual, Automatic & Automatic (E-CVT) |
Mileage | 19.07 kmpl to 28.65 kmpl |
Engine | 1462-1490 cc |
Power | 91.18 bhp @ 5500 rpm |
Torque | 122 Nm @ 3800-4800 rpm |
Drive Train | 2WD & AWD |
- The Victoris gets a significantly different interior setup compared to most Maruti Suzuki cars. There is a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and the steering wheel is also slightly different, as it does not feature the chrome roundel seen on most other Maruti cars. This is also a properly round steering wheel, as opposed to the now-familiar flat-bottom unit.
- In terms of features, the Victoris also gets things not seen before in a Maruti car. These features include three driving modes, an electronic parking brake, a Level 2 ADAS suite, an 8-way power-adjustable driver seat, 64-colour ambient lighting, an 8-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, a powered tailgate, two interior colour themes, Alexa connectivity, and an underbody CNG tank among other things.
