2024 TVS Jupiter Pros
Best-In-Class Engine Performance
The 2024 TVS Jupiter has received an all-new heart powering its rear wheela single-cylinder, air-cooled, 113.3cc engine. With 8 PS of power and 9.8 Nm of torque outputs, the TVS Jupiter offers the highest power and torque figures in the 110cc scooter category. Based on TVS' track record, this engine is expected to match the reliability of the 109.6cc engine of the previous Jupiter.
Competition check: The new TVS Jupiter's power and torque figures are higher than those of Honda Activa's 109.5cc engine7.7 bhp and 8.9 Nmand Hero Pleasure+ XTEC's 110.9cc engine8 bhp and 8.7 Nm.
Massive under-seat storage compartment
Following in the footsteps of its elder sibling, the Jupiter 125, the new TVS Jupiter 110cc has also received a repositioned fuel tank lid, which now sits behind the front apron. This new placement of the fuel tank lid has left more room for the under-seat storage compartment, which is now large enough to accommodate two half-face helmets.
Competition check: The under-seat storage compartment of the TVS Jupiter is much more spacious than that of the Honda Activa and Hero Pleasure+ XTEC.
A long list of features
With this latest update for Jupiter, TVS has also improved the equipment list of the 110cc Jupiter, which now comes with all-LED lights, an external front fuel filler cap, a fully digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, a USB charger, and more.
Competition check: The TVS Jupiter is the only scooter in the 110cc category with an all-LED setup for all the lights, including the headlamp, tail lamp, and turn indicators.
Good ride and handling balance
The TVS Jupiter continues to have 12-inch wheels at both ends, shod with 90/90-12 tubeless tyres. With 12-inch wheels for both front and rear, the TVS Jupiter offers a balanced ride quality and handling experience.
Competition check: While the Activa and Pleasure+ XTEC have a 10-inch rear wheel, the TVS Jupiter has a large 12-inch rear wheel.
2024 TVS Jupiter Cons
Small fonts on the instrument console
While the TVS Jupiter's instrument console has been thoroughly revised with an all-new, fully digital layout, the fonts and readings of this full-LCD instrument console look small and are hard to read while on the go.
Competition check: The TVS Jupiter is the only scooter in the 110cc category with a fully digital instrument console.
No under-seat hook
Under-seat hooks have always been handy on scooters, for they help as hooks for carrying some extra luggage while on the go without opening up the seat to access the space beneath. While the new TVS Jupiter's under-seat storage compartment is massive, the absence of an under-seat hook is a small miss that could have been avoided.
Competition check: The TVS Jupiter is the only scooter in India that does not get an under-seat hook.
The rear tyre looks skinny
This update was an opportunity for TVS to upscale Jupiter's tyre size. However, the new, updated version of the TSV Jupiter continues to have a 90/90-12 tyre at the rear, exactly like the front tyre. A wider tyre would have been appreciated to match the scooter's enhanced visual bulk.
Competition check: TVS Jupiter's 90/90-12 rear tyre is larger than the 90/100-10 rear tyre available in Honda Activa and Hero Pleasure+ XTEC.
