Kia Carnival and Toyota Innova Hycorss Powertrains
The Carnival comes with a 2.2 L turbocharged diesel engine that produces 190 hp and 441 Nm of torque, sending power to the front wheels via an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission. There are four driving modes: Eco, Normal, Smart, and Sport.
In the Toyota Innova Hycross, a 2.0 L petrol engine is connected to an electric motor. The engine produces 183.7 bhp and 188 Nm of torque, while the motor generates 206 Nm of torque. Like the Carnival, the Innova Hycross is a FWD vehicle, but it features an e-CVT transmission with eco, power, and normal modes.

The Kia Carnival and Toyota Innova Hycross are among the few MPVs in India that are more successful and popular than many large SUVs. They provide excellent value for money, with 99% of owners expressing satisfaction. The top trim of the Innova Hycross costs Rs 35.94 lakh ex-showroom, making it around Rs 27 lakh cheaper than the Carnival. Still, the rear captain seat experience and overall ride quality of the Innova are better than those of several luxury sedans, and nobody can deny that.
