The difference in price between the 2.0-litre Petrol 6MT engine and the 2.2-litre Diesel 6MT engine is Rs 50,000. Interestingly, the same price difference exists between the diesel and petrol engines with the 6-speed automatic transmission (6AT). Moreover, there's a Rs 1.50 lakh price gap between the Diesel AT and MT models, and the same Rs 1.50 lakh difference applies between the Petrol AT and MT versions as well.

Its a bit surprising to see that the higher MX5 variant actually lacks some features youd expect. Typically, as you move up in variant levels, more features are added. However, in the MX5, certain features from the AX3L variant are missing, despite the MX5 borrowing its features.

These missing features include Adrenox connected car, Remote Commands, Smart Wearable Support, DTS Sound Staging, a 10.24-inch HD Digital Cluster, Inbuilt Navigation by MapMyIndia, Fully Automatic Temperature Control, and an Active Carbon Filter. Even though the MX5 includes AX3L features, the absence of these specific features is quite noticeable.

For devoted fans of the Thar, the new 5-door model is a real treat. While it comes packed with exciting features, even the base model offers some good ones. If you're considering this vehicle but are conscious of your budget, you might want to look into the mid-range option instead of the pricier variants. However, you should also consider checking out other competitors or different models to find the best fit for your needs.
