Design

When it comes to the design, both the SUVs offer a similar design language. On the front, the Kushaq offers the Skoda's trademark grille flanked by LED headlamps. Overall, the Kushaq features sharp lines running throughout. At the rear, it wraps around with LED taillights along with a diffuser. The Prestige variant comes with 17-inch alloy wheels.
On the other hand, the Skoda Kylaq is the first Skoda in our market that has adopted the brand's new "Modern Solid" design language. It boasts a more clean design with the split headlight setup, DRLs at top and the projector setup just below that. However, the grille is slimmer than the one on the Kushaq. The front fascia also features a black cladding with a skid plate, which gives it a pronounced appearance. Coming to the rear, there's a squared out tail lamps linked by a dark applique with Skoda lettering, and theres thick cladding on the bumper.

Dimensions
Going by the dimensions, Kylaq falls under the 4-meter category, meaning it is 230 mm shorter than the elder sibling Kushaq. While its wheelbase is just 85 mm short. But surprisingly, the Kylaq is 7mm taller and 23 mm wider than the Kushaq. Due to its bigger size, Kushaq offers 25 litres of additional boot space over the baby Kushaq. Both the SUVs ride on 17-inch wheels in the prestige variant while the base gets smaller 16-inch steel wheels.

Interiors and Features

Inside, the Kylaq and Kushaq look quite similar. Both the SUVs boast a similar 10.1-inch infotainment screen along with an 8-inch instrument cluster with touch-based AC controls and a two-spoke steering wheel. However, the only visible difference comes in the passenger side dashboard design, which boasts different colours and textures. Moreover, the central AC vents look a bit different.

Coming to the features, both the SUVs offer wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Cruise control, a single-pane sunroof, ventilated front row seats, along with powered front seats, automatic climate control and rear AC vents. While in terms of safety, both the SUVs are equipped with six airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking camera with sensors and TPMS.
Powertrains

The Skoda Kushaq's engine bay gets two options: 1.0-litre TSI engine and 1.5-litre TSI engine paired up with 6-speed manual or automatic transmission. But we're focussing on the 1.0-litre variant. The 1.0-litre unit churns out 115 hp and 178 Nm of torque, while the 1.5-litre unit belts out 150 hp and 250 Nm of torque.
