Exterior

The new Nexon looks quite similar to the Curvv when we see the front fascia of the compact SUV. The Nexon Facelift has a more contemporary design element than the outgoing model. The current-gen Nexon gets redesigned LED DRLs, bumpers and an all-new split headlamp. These new additions on the front fascia make the updated Nexon look new.

In terms of side profile, the facelifted Nexon features new 16-inch alloy wheels which look better than the ones we saw on the previous model. Notably, all these cosmetic updates have been given by keeping the original essence of the Nexon alive.

At the rear, the new Nexon gets a connected LED tail light unit. Also, the rear profile of the sub-compact SUV looks more wider and aggressive than the outgoing model. The rear bumper plays a crucial role in giving this SUV a higher stance from the backside.

Interior

The new Nexon features an all-new interior that looks upmarket and more contemporary. The new-gen Nexon gets more colour options for the interiors including the all-new Fearless purple option which comes with a black and purple interior. Also, there is a new two-spoke steering wheel that has an integrated illuminated Tata logo at the centre. Other new things in the interior include a new gear lever which indeed looks premium.

Features

Nexon Facelift

The current-gen Nexon gets a bigger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system instead of the previously available 7-inch unit. The new infotainment screen supports Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Tata's connected tech. The top-end variant's infotainment differs with its thinner bezels. Another major addition on the inside is a new 10.25 digital driver's display which has turn-by-turn navigation integrated into it, so there is no lack of functionality now.

Talking about the utility features, the facelifted Nexon gets auto AC with touch climate controls instead of the physical buttons, a high-quality JBL 9 speaker audio system, a height-adjustable driver seat, a wireless charging pad, and automatic headlamps. There's also an electrically controlled sunroof which opens with voice commands.

Tata Nexon Facelift

In terms of safety, the Nexon facelift now gets 6 airbags as standard across the lineup. Additionally, it features a 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitor and parking sensor. Notably, the previous gen Nexon lacked all these safety features.

Engine

Tata Nexon Facelift

The facelifted Nexon gets the same powerhouse offered with the outgoing model. The sub-compact SUV still gets two powertrain options- a 1.2-litre turbo petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel unit which generate a maximum power output of 120 PS and 115 PS respectively. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and AMT transmission. On the other hand, it gets a 7-speed DCT unit and a 6-speed manual gearbox for the turbo petrol engine. It is notable that both the automatic variants get paddle shifters and the base model of the sub-compact SUV still gets a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Price

The Tata Nexon facelift starts at Rs. 9.06 lakh and goes up to Rs. 18.65 lakh (ex-showroom) which is higher than the outgoing model that used to range between Rs. 7.46 lakh- Rs. 13.68 lakh (ex-showroom).
