Toyota Innova Hycross Vs 2024 Kia Carnival: Design
MPVs are not typically expected to be good-looking, but the Innova Hycross and the Carnival seem to challenge that notion. Both these MPVs receive appear closer to SUVs with a rather imposing design and muscular stance. The Innova Hycross and the Carnival both come with a large grille, but while the Japanese gets a more conventional headlamp setup, the Carnival gets a more funky-looking vertically-stacked headlights, with DRL strips placed above.
The Carnival also comes with a sliding rear door as compared to the conventional doors of the Hycross. From the rear, the Carnival appears more like an elongated SUV with its squared-off design, and it also receives L-shaped tail-lights which appear similar to the connected tail lights that are quite the design trend these days. Being MPVs, both cars have to ensure they carry six or seven people in comfort. Coming from a segment above, the Carnival is bigger than the Hycross in every sense. As expected, the 2024 Carnival offers more features than the Innova Hycross obviously. The Carnival will be available with a 12.3-inch blended infotainment screen setup, along with a 11-inch head-up display, a 12-speaker Bose sound system, roof mounted A/C vents for the second and third rows, 12-step power-adjustable ventilated driver seat with four-way lumbar support and memory function, 8-step power-adjustable ventilated front passenger seat, Level 2 ADAS, and second-row powered relaxation ventilated seats with leg support, to name a few.
On the other hand, the Innova Hycross receives decent equipment for its price, even if misses out on novelty features offered by the Carnival. The Hycross comes with a conventional 10.1-inch infotainment touch screen with wireless Apple CarPlay, along with second-row powered Ottoman seats, ventilated front seats, automatic climate control for the first two rows with an air purifier, a 9-speaker JBL sound system, and adaptive cruise control among other things.
