Exteriors

One look at the front and you notice the chrome strip in the newly designed honeycomb mesh grille. It kind of looks aftermarket but you will get used to it. Furthermore, it now gets the dual-tone option at a premium of Rs 14,000 over the regular variants.

Interiors and Features

The overall aesthetic is retained with the all-black colour scheme and the 3-spoke steering wheel. Feature-wise, it is now equipped with cruise control, idle start-stop, auto-foldable ORVMs, a colour multi-information display and the VXi variant now get light touch controls for the volume and track change.

Engine

Unlike the design which has been designed mostly, the changes are mostly under the hood. It now gets an updated 1.2-litre, DualJet petrol engine which now generates 90 PS of power with a peak torque of 113 Nm. This unit is similar as seen on the Dzire and Baleno.

With this engine, the ARAI certified fuel economy of the Swift has gone up and the AMT variant now delivers 23.76 kmpl and the manual one sticks at 23.20 kmpl. It is a wise choice for those opting for an AMT unit because it gives convenience as well as higher efficiency.

Price

The price of the new Swift starts from Rs 5.73 lakh and fetches till Rs 8.41 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. When compared to the older model, there is a significant price increase of up to Rs 25,000. With this, you do get updated styling, engine and also new features.
