The much-awaited mid-weight sports motorcycle from KTM is launched in India. The 2022 KTM RC 390 motorcycle is now available in India at a price tag of Rs 3.14 lakhs ex-showroom. The new generation offers a bigger size, more tech, & features than the outgoing model.

2022 KTM RC 390 Design & Features
The new RC 390 is now equipped with a bigger, better, and mature design. The design seems to be based on the international siblings of the RC 390. The front seems inspired by the new KTM RC 200 that was recently launched in India. The headlight is similar while the overall dimensions are big and wide. The fuel tank is also bigger at 13.7-litres and the seat is also redesigned for more comfort. The clip-on handlebars come with 10 mm raisers for comfortable city riding.
The instrument cluster is a new TFT display that has Bluetooth connectivity as well as displays vital rider assist info. It also comes with traction control, cornering ABS, USD forks, and even a quickshifter assist function.

Engine & Specifications
The new RC 390 still uses the same 373.27 cc, liquid-cooled engine. It is now BS6 compliant and produces peak power of 42 hp & 37 Nm of peak torque. The 6-speed gearbox comes with a slipper-assist function for seamless redline upshifts. KTM has redesigned the air filter box which is now 40 percent bigger than the outgoing version. This leads to linear power delivery and more efficiency.
WP Apex USD forks at the front and WP Apex single monoshock at the rear are used as the suspension setup. This setup is completely customizable and the rider can modify it according to their needs. Also, it now comes with all-LED lighting that will help in enhanced rider safety.
2022 KTM RC 390 Rivals
At Rs 3.14 lakhs ex-showroom, the new RC 390 is aggressively priced among the competitors. The main rivals include the TVS Apache RR 310 & the newly launched Kawasaki Ninja 300 mid-weight sports bikes.
