Tata launched the most affordable Tiago EV a few weeks ago and looks like, they are gearing up for the launch of the Tigor EV as well. Well, Tigor EV was already on sale but now Tata will be bringing in the latest version, the 2022 iteration that will boast a new colour and get more features as well.

The 2022 Tata Tigor EV will boast of cruise control that we have seen in the Tiago EV as well. In addition to this, we can expect improved UI for the touchscreen. The 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system gets Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Also, expect the top-spec models to get leatherette upholstery as well.

In addition to this, the Tigor EV will also boast a new exterior colour. Currently, this EV comes in two colour options - Daytona Grey and Teal Blue. The dual-tone is offered with both of them. The new colour shade as seen in the teaser could be Magnetic Red which is also seen in the ICE version of the Tigor. Yes, the blue highlights on the window beltline and other parts will be seen. This is to differentiate the EV version from the ICE.

Powering the Tigor EV is a 26kWh Li-ion battery pack that generates 74 bhp of power with 170 Nm of peak torque. The driving range for the same sticks to 306 km which is certified by the ARAI. We can expect more driving range from the revised Tigor EV. Also, it gets two drive modes to choose from - Eco and Sports.

Verdict

Currently, the Tigor EV is priced from Rs 12.49 lakh to Rs 13.64 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. Once the updated model is launched, do expect a hike in prices. Also, the new model will be equipped with most of the features that are present in the current model. There is no direct rival to Tigor EV in the Indian market as of now.
