2023 Bajaj-Triumph Bike Details
The spied test bike looks embraced in a scrambler-type design outlook. The roadster appeal is prominently visible with a rather aggressive riding stance. However, it is not as aggressive as the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. Additionally, the whole bike has been painted in black. The engine components and wheels are also painted in matte black. Meanwhile, the sculpted fuel tank along with round LED headlight, round LED taillight & round LED turn indicators do end up looking neo-retro.
No wonder that Bajaj-Triumph wants to give it a retro bike look. Why? Well, it is because the 250-400cc segment is largely dominated by Royal Enfield. Hence, most customers are looking for a modern tech-loaded bike with retro appeal. This is exactly what the JV is looking forward to hitting at. Hence, the upcoming bike has a mix of everything. It looks scrambler as well as a roadster altogether.
Meanwhile, other details to notice include the large windshield, upright dual-exhaust cans, all-purpose tyres, single-seat, 17-inch alloy wheels, & even a decently big digital instrument panel. We are expecting it to have a lot of connected techs available. These might include the likes of Bluetooth, navigation, riding modes, etc. Additionally, the test bike also had touring accessories like the tank bag and saddle bags fixed on. These can be offered as optional accessories once the bike is launched.
Engine & Specifications
However, speaking of the engine and specs we're currently unsure about its exact details. There is still no word from the company itself about the engine specs. Meanwhile, the international media is consistently reporting that it will come in various variants and at least 2 engine options.
The majority of the reports are indicating that it will use a 250-350cc single-cylinder engine. The liquid cooling system is also visible in the spy photos here. Meanwhile, a 6-speed gearbox is also expected to be offered along. However, one can expect for safety features like dual-channel ABS and even a slipper-assist clutch. We expect that this engine will make power in the range of 30 to 40 bhp.
Upon its launch, it will face the rivalry from Royal Enfield Hunter 350 & the BMW G 310 R as well as the KTM Duke 250. The expected price is around Rs 3-4 lakh as per the media reports. However, we can not comment strongly on this until we see some official details. We suspect that Bajaj is going to launch this new model in the first quarter of 2023.
Our Verdict : This upcoming 350cc touring motorcycle will create a benchmark in the segment. Might be expensive, but will be worth every penny!
